Ladies Aid Society

Way Back in 1906

Mrs. Belle Daugherty of Claremore shares this treasured picture with
the OBSERVER. It was taken in 1906 of the Ladies Aid Society when
the Daughterys lived at Catoosa. The Daughterys and Denbos were
among the first families in the town. A few of the ladies names
could not be recalled by Belle.

the late Charlie and Walter Nichols, Dana Hamilton, Blanch Dearston,
Belle Daughtery, and Minnie McKeehan.
Middle Row L-R: Mrs. Norby, next to her sister, Alice Kelly, Dora
Denbo, and Edna Hamilton.
First Row L-R: Wife of editor of Catoosa Gazette, Mrs. Patrick, Mrs.
Fields, Mrs. Will Foster, Mary Thompson and Letitia Denbo, mother of
Belle Daughtery.
Belle will be 85 on December 18, 1970 and to her knowledge all of
the others in the photo are deceased.
